It was 11:58pm on Saturday, September 22, 2007 and we knew our lives would never be the same. Our precious son Elijah Scott Johnson was born and what a joy and delight he has been! Hours after he was born Patriece and I found out that he was seriously ill with a blood infection and had to be transferred to the local neo-natal ICU at the Medical University of South Carolina. It was not until ten days after he was born that we could even hold him and a total of three weeks until we could bring him home. It was definitely a time in which Patriece and I had to cling to the Lord and trust in His goodness and sovereignty. A year later we are enjoying one of the most delightful gifts the Lord could have ever given us. Not only is he healthy, he is keeping Patriece & I very busy because has finally mastered walking. Lord help us! We can truly attest that the prayers of the saints are powerful and effective. Elijah has brought a new flavor and much laughter to the ministry. Parenting has been a lot of fun and we are growing as we seek the Lord daily for wisdom and guidance to raise up our baby boy. We are so grateful for the Lord’s faithfulness to heal our dear son.
